On October 31, lovers of good food and the arts will feast under the stars at the third annual Walsh Bay Arts Table. This unique ticketed event, hosted by Walsh Bay Arts and Commerce, presents a menu from the precinct’s restaurants and this year, funds raised will benefit local charitable organisation, Accessible Arts.
An exclusive five course degustation dinner with matching wines will be served on the historic Pier 2 wharf overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The evening will feature guest speaker Robyn Archer AO, currently Creative Director of the Centenary of Canberra (2013) and the new Deputy Chair of the Australia Council for the Arts.
A silent art auction on the evening includes artworks and limited edition posters selected by Dr Gene Sherman AM, Chairman and Executive Director of Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation. These works will be available to view prior to the event online at www.aarts.net.au or by appointment at Accessible Arts in Walsh Bay.
Accessible Arts is the peak body for the disability and arts sectors in NSW, supporting people with disability to create art, to experience art and to work in the arts. Funds raised from the Arts Table will go towards a number of programs for 2013 including Catalyst, an inclusive dance project.
