Farmhouse Touch brings contemporary country to the table

Villeroy & Boch presents Farmhouse Touch, a contemporary tableware concept, conveying clarity and purity through a natural and simple form.

All of the items in the collection look and feel handmade, as if each was crafted on the potter’s wheel. Familiar, round forms are confronted with generously proportioned oval elements and the two combine to create a harmonious ensemble. Various pieces of the series feature a recessed relief that seems to have been pressed by hand, giving the white porcelain an unmistakable aesthetic appeal.

Complementing the simplicity of Farmhouse Touch is Farmhouse Touch Blueflowers. With a playful and contemporary blue décor, it is warm and fresh adding contrast to the white collection. The motif selected for this range is the cornflower with many different blossom patterns interpreted - some soft, some stylised and some on a smaller scale. Creating further excitement, the decoration is also reversed on several items, with white flowers against a blue background.

The bloom motif of Farmhouse Touch Blueflowers is paired with an organic border detail. Inspired by an ear of grain and designed in harmonious hues of blue, it structures the tableware while the scattered blossoms lend the collection a breeze of spontaneity. Where the two décor aspects meet on large items, the results make for an eye-catching centrepiece.

Villeroy & Boch’s Farmhouse Touch and Farmhouse Touch Blueflowers are available from selected department stores, along with the House of Villeroy & Boch, Chatswood (NSW) Glenside (SA). Both can also be purchased online from Villeroy & Boch’s e-Shop: RRP from $19.95.
