Striking street art, hip hop beats and a gleaming new Lamborghini greeted attendees at last night’s ‘Black Magic’ event in Melbourne, with Fuji Xerox Printers rolling out the black-and-white carpet for channel partners and retailers.
Hosted at the trendy RTIST Gallery in the inner-city suburb of Prahran, the event saw Fuji Xerox Printers unveil an exciting new range of monochrome laser printers aimed at home office users and SMBs seeking to boost productivity and minimise operating costs. The event included a live street performance by a team of highly acclaimed Melbourne street artists who were charged with creating an impactful mural. Guests then replicated sections of the mural on the opposing gallery wall using prints from the new Fuji Xerox printers.
Gadget Guy Peter Blasina made a special appearance and two lucky guests won a thrill ride in a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo.
Fuji Xerox Printers’ general manager David Borg sais the event aimed to create excitement around the new monochrome printers and the sales opportunities they represent for channel partners and retailers. “With this event we wanted to inject some colour into monochrome - we wanted to bring the magic back to black. Monochrome devices currently represent more than 75 percent of purchases in the single function market.
“Furthermore, the single function 21-30 page per minute segment is forecast to grow by more than 40 percent in the coming year as technology becomes more affordable and SMBs continue to face pressure to reduce operating costs. Clearly this represents a significant market opportunity for the channel and office equipment retailers. Black is back.”
Borg says the new printers - the single function DocuPrint P355 d and DocuPrint P255 dw, and the multifunction DocuPrint M355 df and DocuPrint M255 z - are perfectly positioned to enable Fuji Xerox channel partners to capitalise on the expanding market segment.
“Leading the way with superior print quality, cost-effective print management and a host of eco-friendly features, these office workhorses are incredibly affordable.
“While the cost-saving benefits of monochrome are well documented, this new range has been designed to be more energy efficient, use less consumables and produce less waste. In the face of rising electricity prices, this is good news for home office users and SMBs who want to save money and minimise their carbon footprint but refuse to compromise on print quality and performance.”
Fuji Xerox Printers is supporting the launch of these printers with a fantastic consumer promotion. Every consumer that buys one of these printers and registers on the Fuji Xerox Printers website will go in a draw to win a Supercar Drive Day where they and a friend will experience the excitement of driving a range of supercars including a Lamborghini, Ferrari and Masserati. Entries close November 30, 2012.
Key features of the new printers include print speeds ranging from 30 to 35 pages per minute, 1200 x 1200 dpi print quality and automatic duplex and networking capabilities as standard. Adding scan, copy and fax to their printing capabilities, the DocuPrint M355 df and DocuPrint M255 z also offer Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and the ability to print and scan directly to a USB storage device. Select models also include wireless networking support and enterprise data encryption technology.
All models utilise EA-Eco Toner by Fuji Xerox which enable them to operate using less heat, and therefore less power. Engineered to melt at a temperature 20 degrees lower than conventional toner, EA-Eco Toner reduces power consumption by up to 40 percent.
