Launching the JBL Summit Series loudspeakers in Australia
JBL’s latest Summit Series models, Makalu, Pumori, and Ama, debut in Australia following their world premiere at HIGH END Munich 2025. The Summit Series delivers peak performance in residential audio environments using a suite of patented acoustic technologies that introduce new levels of clarity, precision, and dynamic response. These handcrafted loudspeakers represent JBL’s most advanced engineering yet, with refined soft-curved cabinetry, proprietary D2 compression and dynamic drivers, Differential Drive woofer motor structure, MultiCap™ crossover networks with single-wire and bi-am/bi-wire connectivity, and high-definition imaging (HDI™) Sonoglass horn technology delivering scale, detail, and emotion in every performance. JBL designed and engineered each model at its Acoustic Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, building on the legacy of its flagship Everest and K2 loudspeakers. The Summit Series features integrated IsoAcoustics isolation technology to maximise clarity and control across the audio spectrum.
The Summit Series pays tribute to JBL’s rich heritage while redefining what’s possible in modern hi-fi, with designs crafted to stir the senses. Originally conceived as technological showcases, Everest and K2 set the standard for high-end loudspeaker innovation. The Summit Ama, Pumori, and Makalu continue this tradition by delivering immersive sound and bold visual design at the pinnacle of their class.
